City of LA Angelino Card

What is the Angeleno Card? With support from the Office of Mayor Eric Garcetti and the Mayor's Fund for Los Angeles, the Angeleno Card provides financial assistance for in-need households via no-fee prepaid cards provided by Mastercard's City Possible network in amounts determined according to a table that can be found on the city website: https://hcidla.lacity.org/

Device Distribution Survey (Round 2)

Phone calls went out today informing parents of the two ways devices may be requested.

Did you miss the phone call? If you missed the phone calls that went out this morning and afternoon, you can still request a device. Complete the technology request form here. (For the question, “What problem are you having with the device?” —> Enter your response as “I need to pick up a device for my child”).

Distribution Schedule: Devices will be distributed by appointment only, and appointments will be made from submissions.

LAUSD School Closures Extended

LAUSD Superintendent Austin Beutner announces that all LAUSD school facilities will remain closed through summer. Summer school will operate remotely with learning opportunities for all. Technology Support for Student Devices

If your child received a take-home device from Southeast DREAMS Magnet, tech support is available to you throughout the school closures. If you have any issues related to the device that was sent home, including but not limited to:

  • The device my child received is not turning on

  • I am having trouble connecting the device to our internet

  • We have been unsuccessful in accessing Schoology on this device (but it works on my phone)

  • etc…

LAUSD Parent Portal Update

Legal guardians may call the LAUSD Helpdesk/Family Hotline at (213) 443-1300 to request their Parent Portal PIN via Skype or Zoom only. Legal guardians will be asked to validate their identity with a California ID, California Driver License, Consulate card, or Passport. To ensure the protection of student data, Parent Portal PIN numbers will not be provided over the phone.
